You are far more valuable to God than the world makes you think.

I AM THE VINE
Text: John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing”
INTRODUCTION:
By God’s grace, we are moving forward. We have seen five (5) of the seven (7) affirmations of Jesus as the I am God, and today, we will consider the sixth (6) revelation of Jesus as the I am God.
JESUS- “I AM THE VINE”
In today’s teaching, we see the seventh affirmation of Jesus as the I am God.
JESUS THE VINE:
Jesus is our foundation: John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches…”
From Jesus, we receive life: Romans 11:18 “do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you”
Jesus enables us to be fruitful: John 15:5 “… He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit…”
By grace we are grafted into the vine: Romans 11:17-18 “If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you”
Confession: Job 5:19-27 “From six calamities he will rescue you; in seven no harm will touch you. In famine he will deliver you from death, and in battle from the stroke of the sword. You will be protected from the lash of the tongue, and need not fear when destruction comes. You will laugh at destruction and famine, and need not fear the wild animals. For you will have a covenant with the stones of the field, and the wild animals will be at peace with you. You will know that your tent is secure; you will take stock of your property and find nothing missing. You will know that your children will be many, and your descendants like the grass of the earth. You will come to the grave in full vigor, like sheaves gathered in season. “We have examined this, and it is true. So hear it and apply it to yourself”
